Brown Pelican
The brown pelican lives on the Atlantic, Gulf, and Pacific Coasts in the Americas. Large, stocky seabirds, they have thin necks and long bills with an expandable throat pouch that holds up to 3 gallons of water. Their broad wingspan can be was wide as 2.5 meters—8 feet! The insouciant hair and ice blue eye remind me of Annie Lennox.
